Abstract
In June 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sulawesi Barat Province will be 2.32 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.31. The highest inflation occurred in Mamuju at 2.45 percent with a CPI of 105.62 and the lowest occurred in Majene Regency at 2.24 percent with a CPI of 106.76.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.21 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.89 percent; health group at 0.93 percent; transportation group at 0.87 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.82 percent; education group at 0.67 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 5.69 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.65 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.11 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.15 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.19 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Sulawesi Barat Province is 0.81 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.05 percent.
