Abstract
Inflation in the city of Mamuju occurred because of the price increase shown by the increase in several expenditure group indexes, namely the food, beverage and tobacco groups 1.48 percent; clothing and footwear groups 0.16 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups 0.18 percent; group of equipment, equipment, and household routine maintenance 0.46 percent; health group 1.23 percent; Transportation group 1.65 percent; Information, Communication and Financial Services Group 0.17 percent; education group 0.62 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant supply group 0.22 percent; and private maintenance groups and other services 0.25 percent. While the expenditure group that experiences deflation is recreation, sports, and culture 0.95 percent.
The calendar year index change rate in July 2022 in Mamuju recorded a 4.83 percent inflation and the index change rate of the year (July 2022 against July 2021) showed a 5.23 percent inflation.
Based on the results of a 90 city consumer price survey in Indonesia in July 2022 it shows that all cities experience inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kendari by 2.27 percent and the lowest occurred in Tanjung and Pematang Siantar with inflation of 0.04 percent each. Mamuju with inflation 0.88 percent ranks 29 out of 90 cities that experience inflation.
