Abstract
Inflation in the city of Mamuju occurred because of the price increase shown by the increase in eight indexes of expenditure groups namely food, beverage and tobacco groups 0.12 percent; clothing and footwear groups 0.16 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups 0.19 percent; group of equipment, equipment, and household routine maintenance 0.74 percent; transportation group 8.33 percent; Recreation, sports and culture group 0.69 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant supply group 0.01 percent; and private maintenance groups and other services 0.89 percent. While the group that experienced deflation was the health group 0.43 percent and the information group, communication, and financial services were 0.30 percent.
The calendar year index change rate in September 2022 in Mamuju recorded a 5.39 percent inflation and the index change rate of the year (September 2022 against September 2021) showed an inflation of 6.72 percent.
Based on the results of a consumer price survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in September 2022 showed that 88 cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Bukittinggi by 1.87 percent and the lowest occurred in Merauke by 0.07 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Manokwari by 0.64 percent and the lowest occurred in Timika by 0.59 percent. Mamuju with inflation 1.08 percent ranks 44 out of 88 cities that experience inflation.
