During May 2024 the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US$ 31.58 million and the import value reached US$ 0.70 million

The export value of Sulawesi Barat Province in May 2024 reached US$ 31.58 million, down 11.71 percent compared to April 2024. Conditions are different compared to May 2023 where there was an increase of 114.25 percent.

Animal/vegetable fats & oils are the main export commodities of Sulawesi Barat Province during May 2024 with a contribution of 95.05 percent of the total exports of Sulawesi Barat Province.

China is the main export destination country for Sulawesi Barat Province during May 2024 with a contribution of 36.47 percent.

During May 2024, the import value in Sulawesi Barat Province was US$ 0.70 million or an increase of 205.56 percent compared to April 2024. This condition is different from May the previous year when no imports were recorded.

Cumulatively, the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province fell by 27.31 percent, from US$ 1.80 million (January-May 2023) to US$ 1.31 million (January-May 2024).
