Abstract

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter II-2023 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on valid prices reached 14.82 trillion rupiah, while on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached 9.05 trillion rupiah.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter II-2023 experienced a growth of 6.42 percent when compared to the second quarter of 2022 (Y-on-Y). Increasing the creation of added value occurs in most business field categories. The largest source of economic growth occurs in the categories of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. While in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth comes from the net export component.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter II-2023 experienced a growth of 9.26 percent compared to the first quarter of-2023 (Q-to-Q). When viewed in terms of business fields, the largest source of economic growth in the categories of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. When viewed in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth is the component of government consumption expenditure.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat cumulatively in the second quarter of 2023 (cumulative quarter I and II of 2023) experienced a growth of 5.00 percent when compared to the cumulative quarter II-2022 (C-to-C).

  • On the regional scale in the Sulawesi region of Maluku Papua, the highest economic growth in the second quarter of Y-On-Y occurred in North Maluku by 23.89 percent, followed by Central Sulawesi by 11.86 percent. The Sulawesi Barat experienced a growth of 6.42 percent, ranked third of ten provinces.
