Abstract

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the third quarter of 2022 measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of valid prices reached 13.57 trillion rupiah, while on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached 8.51 trillion rupiah.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter III-2022 experienced a growth of 3.39 percent when compared to the third quarter of 2021 (Y-on-Y). Increasing the creation of added value occurs in most business field categories. The largest source of economic growth occurs in the categories of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. While in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth comes from the component of government consumption expenditure.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter III-2022 experienced a growth of 0.10 percent compared to quarter II-2022 (Q-to-Q). When viewed from the business side, the largest source of economic growth in the manufacturing industry category. When viewed in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth is the component of government consumption expenditure.

  • The economy of Sulawesi Barat cumulatively in the third quarter of 2022 (cumulative quarter I, II, and III of 2022) experienced a growth of 2.11 percent when compared to the cumulative quarter III-2021 (C-to-C).

  • On the regional scale in the Sulawesi region of Maluku Papua, the highest economic growth in the third quarter of 2022 y-on-Y occurred in North Maluku by 24.85 percent, followed by Central Sulawesi by 19.13 percent. The Sulawesi Barat experienced a growth of 3.39 percent, occupying the last position of ten provinces.
