Abstract
In March 2022, the level of inequality of population expenditure of Sulawesi Barat Province measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.362. This figure dropped 0.004 points when compared to the Gini Ratio September 2021. Meanwhile when compared to the Gini Ratio March 2021 which was 0.356, the Gini Ratio March 2022 increased by 0.006 points.
Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.448, down by 0.003 points when compared to the Gini Ratio September 2021 which was 0.451 and increased by 0.002 points when compared to the Gini Ratio March 2021 which was 0.446. While the Gini Ratio in the Rural Area in March 2022 was recorded at 0.322 down by 0.004 points when compared to the Gini Ratio September 2021 and increased by 0.001 points when compared to the Gini Ratio March 2021 which was 0.321.
In March 2022, the distribution of expenditure of the lowest 40 percent population group was 19.08 percent. This means that the expenditure of the population is still in the category of low inequality. If detailed according to the region, in urban areas the figure is recorded at 15.39 percent which means it is in the category of moderate inequality. As for rural areas, the figure is recorded at 20.61 percent, which means it is included in the category of low inequality.
