Abstract
• NTP is a comparison against lb. It used to demonstrate the power exchange (terms of trade) of agricultural products with the goods and services consumed as well as to the cost of production. The higher the NTP, in relative terms the stronger levels of ability / farmers' purchasing power.
• From January 2020 to amend the base year in calculating the Index Received by Farmers (It) and the Prices Paid Index Farmers (Ib) of the base year 2012 = 100 to the base year 2018 = 100. Both types of the index is a component in the calculation of Farmer (NTP). Changes in the base year is done to adapt to the changing patterns of production, costs of production, and consumption of agricultural households in rural areas. In the base year 2018 = 100 increased coverage of commodities either on the package or Ib commodity It compared with base year 2012 = 100.
• NTP Sulawesi Barat in May 2021 at 120.07, up 1.02 percent compared to April 2021. The increase NTP NTP is caused by increased It tends to be higher than the increase in Ib. It rose 1.38 percent while Ib only increased 0.36 percent.
• NTP by subsector recorded for food crops subsector (NTP-P) 103.28; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 109.58; Smallholder Crop Subsector (NTP-R) 136.63; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 97.66; and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 108.37.
• For a national scale, Monthly NTP May 2021 amounted to 103.39; rose by 0.44 percent compared to April, and changes in household consumption index by 0.22 percent
