Abstract
The paddy harvest area in 2024 is estimated to be around 64.19 thousand hectares, an increase of 5.58 thousand hectares or 9.52 percent compared to the paddy harvest area in 2023 which was 58.61 thousand hectares.
Paddy production in 2024 is estimated to be 323.02 thousand tons of GKG, an increase of 31.56 thousand tons of GKG or 10.83 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 291.46 thousand tons of GKG.
Rice production in 2024 for population food consumption is estimated to be around 185.52 thousand tons, an increase of 18.13 thousand tons or 10.83 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 167.39 thousand tons.
