Abstract
Based on the results of a 90 city consumer price survey in Indonesia in May 2023, the highest year on year (yoy) inflation occurred in Timika by 6.04 percent with CPI of 117.74 and the lowest occurred in Pangkal Pinang by 1.93 percent with the CPI of 114.16. Yoy inflation in Mamuju was 2.27 percent with CPI of 114.65 ranks second lowest of 90 CPI.
Yoy inflation in Mamuju City occurs because of the price increase shown by the increase in most of the expenditure groups, namely clothing and footwear groups by 3.24 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 1.89 percent; Groups of Routine Household Equipment, Equipment, and Maintenance of 6.83 percent; health group by 4.82 percent; Transportation group of 14.05 percent; Recreation, sports and culture groups by 3.52 percent; education group by 0.62 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 4.41 percent; and personal maintenance groups and other services by 6.92 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced a decline in index was the food, beverage and tobacco groups by 1.88 percent and the financial, communication and financial services group by 1.66 percent.
Month to Month (MTM) deflation rate May 2023 is 0.01 percent and Year to Date (YTD) inflation rate or the May 2023 calendar year of 0.67 percent.
