Abstract

  • The total birth rate/Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of Sulawesi Barat continues to decline to reach 2.58. The average child born by a woman in Sulawesi Barat is around 2 to 3 children during her reproductive period.

  • The birth rate of Sulawesi Barat according to a particular age group (ASFR) is in the age group 25-29 with a figure of 139.55. In other words there are around 139-140 births per 1,000 women aged 25-29 years.

  • The infant mortality rate (AKB)/Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) reaches 29.21 which means there are around 29 babies who died before the age of one year among 1000 babies born living in the province of Sulawesi Barat.

  • Life migration rates in Sulawesi Barat Province were 11.87, which means there were around 11-12 people from 100 residents of Sulawesi Barat born in other provinces.

  • The prevalence of disability in the female population aged 5 years and over (1.63 percent) is higher than the prevalence of male population disability (1.41 percent).

  • The percentage of use of regional languages ​​both in the family and with relatives/neighbors decreases in the younger generation.
