Consumer Price Index/ Inflation Rate, October 2017 in Sulawesi Barat Province

Abstract

According to Consumer Price Survey Result that 82 cities in Indonesian at October 2017, indicate that 44 cities was inflation and 38 was deflation. The highest inflation rate was happen in Tual 1,05 percent with CPI 155,24 dan the lowest in Cilegon and Surakarta there are 0,01 percent, Mamuju ranks occupy 10th from 38 cities that was happen deflation. 

Deflation in Mamuju City at October 2017 was happen because there is decreased price that show by decreased of price index at three expenditure group there are food stuff 2,06 percent, clothing 0,1 percent, and group of transport, communication and financial service 0,03 percent, while one expenditure groups was inflation that is group of housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0,09 percent. Meanwhile group of prepared food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco; health; and group of education, recreation and sport are relatively stable or not change. 

The rate of index change of calender year, October 2017 in Mamuju was inflation 2,72 percent while change of index year on year (October 2017 to October 2016) was inflation 4,20 percent.
